Anyone who deals with high-end bike will surely find that instead of a luxury bicycle, some optional investments would be possible. For all those who are looking for more innovation on two wheels or want to see what is currently possible, we are showing some mountain bike with the highest prices. When looking for the most expensive mtb’s to buy, one comes across the usual suspects. Even if, for example, Specialized and Scott have slightly lowered their prices in the luxury category, there are some brands such as Cannondale that offer luxury bicycles beyond the 10,000 mark.
Cannondale Scalpel-SI Black Inc
12.000 dollars – The Cannondale model was unveiled a few time ago at an exhibition. Compared to the previous models, the Scalpel now rolls on 29-inch wheels. The complete charcoal has a Shimano XTR Di2 gears, Shimano brakes and charcoal wheels and, according to the manufacturer, weighs 10 kg. The bicycle is also equipped with a complete sprint lever, with which the 100 mm is in the fork and damper can be blocked with the push of a button.
Merida Ninety-Six 9000-E
Merida is also currently working with the lightest elements: According to the manufacturer, the cross-country weighs under 10 kilos with its charcoal frame. A few years ago, the Ninety-Six 9000-E integrated Shimano’s e – Di2 gearshift with the chassis. The Boost is also installed on the Merida with 100 mm of travel on the fork and damper. Depending on the frame size, the bicycle can be bought with 27.5 or 29 inches.
Bianchi Methanol CV
A hardtail for just under 10,000 dollars? You are amazed. This proud price of the Methanol CV comes about through high-quality elements and the latest innovation: According to Bianchi, Countervail should absorb 80 % of the shivers. The innovation developed for NASA is intended to transform the cross-country scene. The frame consists of a stretchy carbon element that is already being used on the Italian manufacturer’s racing cycles and will also be used on methanol for the first time. The race bicycle rolls on 29-inch tires and is equipped with a 100 mm fork from Fox. Even if the Methanol CV would be well suited with an e Di2 circuit, a Sram is installed as excellence. This is rather the exception with luxury MTBs.
